Junior Accountant

Location: Remote (Offshore)

About the Role

This role supports an Australian-based business and involves assisting with daily accounting operations, voucher entry, and ledger maintenance. The position is ideal for individuals who have a basic understanding of accounting processes and are comfortable working with financial records in a structured remote work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities
  • Perform voucher entry and maintain accurate financial records
  • Maintain and update general ledger entries
  • Assist with recording financial transactions and supporting documentation
  • Support preparation of basic financial reports and data summaries
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records
  • Organize and maintain financial documents and digital records
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support day-to-day accounting operations

 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum education: Intermediate (12th Grade) or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Open to entry-level, experienced, and senior candidates with relevant accounting skills
  • Prior experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, or finance-related roles will be an advantage

 

Skills & Requirements

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
